This is a very nice hotel and we had a beautiful room. Also the hotels hall and living room area has a gorgeous view over the countryside and the ocean (Nazaré is about 9 Kms away). There was a small problem with electricity so I was sent to another room and everything worked out fine. They were very kind and washed and dried some things for free (since these bathing suits and towels of mine were hanging to dry when I had to change rooms). Our room was large and very pretty. Also had a big bathroom and a terrace area outside. Very comfortable bed. I also enjoyed the pool and had a very good dinner at the restaurant. Personnel is very kind and they really do their best to make you feel welcome. It is also very near Alcobaça and Nazaré. Tomar is only 1 hour away. So it has a great position. Breakfast too was very good and varied. Fresh Fruit, cereal, bread, home made cake, croissants, eggs, bacon, yogurts, jams etc..

Our stay as a family of 4 at the Vale d'Azenha was the highlight of our trip to Portugal. This place could not be more perfect. After a busy road trip exploring Portugal entering this hotel was a calming respite. We all immediately felt relaxed and at ease. The rooms were beautiful. We did have to book two rooms to accommodate our family 4, and I believe we could have done with one but the rooms were right next to each other and we loved them. We also loved the ability to reserve the sauna and jacuzzi for two people, it was the perfect opportunity to privately unwind. From the location to the rooms, to the front desk staff everything was perfect. I will however say that their Golden restaurant was by far the best meal we had in Portugal. Everything was absolutely delicious and perfect. I have a million reasons to come back to this hotel, but the restaurant is definitely on the top.

A very nice modernist hotel set in the hills, midway between Nazare and Sao Martinho do Porto, so a great jumping off point for touring the Silver Coast. The rooms are very well appointed, with a huge bed and plenty of space, with a large glass wall overlooking the countryside, and a nice private patio to sit and take in the view. The staff are extremely helpful, and all speak excellent English (as indeed does pretty much everyone in Portugal) and are on hand to help anytime of the day. The hotel has a relaxed, informal atmosphere , and the infinity pool is a treat at the end of a long day on the beach.

Very nice entrance with an amazing view and welcoming staff. The room was very nice with a big comfortable bed. big balcony with seating outside to enjoy the views. We tried to book two nights but unfortunately it was fully booked on our dates, so we didn’t have time to use the spa or pool facility but they looked nice. We would recommend eating at the hotel for Dinner. The dinner was just lovely (try the best cheese in the world! a starter on the menu, get two as you won’t want to share). The owner of the hotel was very nice and we could have spoke to him all night about wines and the food.

We loved our stay at Vale D'Azenha. The rooms are huge and the Hotel is set in peaceful and quiet surroundings which might not be everyone's cup of tea but it was definitely ours :) You do need a car to get to the Hotel but there is plenty of car parking spaces. The majority of the staff are amazing, very polite and friendly especially in the reception and the cleaning ladies always spoke too. We would have loved to have been able to use the outdoor pool but it was still a little bit chilly during May.
